About Karitsa Kerns

In the world of H.E.N.R.Y.s (high earner, not rich yet), professionals also have their niches. You’ll find experts who specialize in various areas, catering to the unique needs of this dynamic group.

For example in real estate you have people who specialize in certain markets. You have some luxury real estate agents, first time homebuyer agents, and agents who specialize in working with investors to name a few.

The same concept applies to Tax Strategists. You have some tax preparers who just prepare taxes January through April and that’s it. Then there’s KNK Tax and Accounting Services who serve clients at a high level year round.

We understand the intricacies of this demographic and the need to strategize in order to minimize your tax liability.

Karitsa is highly educated in tax law and strategies. She obtained her Masters in Accounting and Financial Management with a concentration in Certified Public Accounting and is an Enrolled Agent (aka America’s Tax Expert licensed through the IRS). She has saved clients tens of thousands of dollars using customized tax plans tailored to the individual’s unique needs.

I've been a licensed Real Estate Broker for 20 years. I've always loved real estate. When I started I was a single mom, unemployed, and it took me 8 months to close my first deal.

I actually closed the week after I landed a job. No way could I see myself walking away from a steady pay check back into the unknown. I continued to sell real estate on the side until I couldn't any more. Work became more demanding, and I decided to go back to school. I got my Masters in Accounting and Financial Management and become and Enrolled Agent. I put real estate on pause but maintained my license with continuing education because I knew I'd come back. I just didn't know when.

When I wasn't actively practicing, I had rental property and saw the tax benefits of it. No matter how you slice it, there are tax advantages when you deal with real estate. There are savings when you sell your primary residence, sell real estate as a career, and when you invest in real estate.

What I did not realize was I was still missing deductions that I was not aware of before I dove head first into the tax world. Now it all makes sense. You don't have to make the same EXPENSIVE mistakes I made. That's why I married my two loves, Real Estate and Taxes, to help you pay the least amount in taxes.
